Do you really care?

Do you care if an author promoted by Oprah lied?
Did you buy the book?
Will you now?
Would you have bought his book if it was certified 100% true and accurate by whoever it is that does this kind of certification?

I'm not an Oprah fan, but respect her a ton for being one sharp cookie in a business full of sharks and to make her way to the very top of the food chain.

but....Oprah's shock and dismay at the guy's dishonesty
seems a little overblown to me. When she "gave away" 200(?) Pontiacs a while back with her jumping up and down celebrating the joy of "giving" the fact that the cars were paid for by Pontiac, not her, was tucked away like the small print provided by a Philadelphia lawyer.
I imagine that some people to this day think that SHE paid for them. Generous like a fox.

Why has this story comsumed so much print/air/bandwidth in the last week? I can see, Drudge, ET and others venues with a large celebrity based venue, but front page on CNN, Google News, network news, all the papers FOX!...... HERE! :) C'mon put it where it belongs, in the entertainment section.

Maybe it's just me, heck I don't even KNOW who Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise are married to shacking up with or who's impregnated by whom. I guess I should do more serious reading in the grocery store check out aisle.:)
